What it is
Fixlefolio is a desktop application that gives property managers and service pros an overview of all properties and appliances/systems. Everything that the Fixle mobile app offers plus billing reports, employee overviews, and multiple appliance/system sharing.
The Problem
Home professionals reported using desktops for final review and sending information to clients.
The Solution
For home inspectors, Fixle makes home inspection reports more efficient than ever. Simply scan the data plate of an appliance or home system, and Fixle will automatically populate information and documentation to send your client in a Fixle Home Report of Fixle app. This includes owner's manuals, manufacture dates, and potential recalls, providing even more value to home buyers and sellers.
For service technicians, Fixle provides instant access to model numbers, manuals, specifications, dimensions, parts, and potential recalls before going onsite. This means you can take care of more problems on the first visit, making your work simpler, faster, and less costly.
For property managers Fixle helps track all property appliances and systems with quick access to documentation, manuals, routine maintenance, service, parts, and potential recalls. Easily maintain properties and quickly resolve problems with instant access to the information you need.
For homeowners, Fixle helps you keep track of all your appliances and systems. It puts owner manuals, routine maintenance, service, and potential recalls at your fingertips. This allows you to easily manage and maintain your home, ensuring everything is running smoothly.

Survey and Interview
To create this application we started focusing on home inspectors. We interviewed and surveyed these home professionals to learn more about their current practices, what they wanted help with, and how we could make their job easier.
-
What applications and programs do you currently use on the job site and in the office?
-
What information are you giving to your clients about their homes?
-
What information do you and your client value the most?
-
What are your pain points with your current way of gathering item information?
The Results...
Home inspectors spend time collecting the model and serial number of appliances and systems then manually search and gather item information for their client reports. The applications they currently use are not automated and leave their clients with static reports.
Recall Status is of high value to inspectors and clients.
Inspectors are manually entering model and serial numbers for reports.
Inspection reports are static and loose value over time.
The Competition
Recall Chek
Strengths
Populates and continuously checks for recalls on items in the home.
Weakness
Not user-friendly, only populates recall status and provides no further information on the item.
Centriq
Strengths
Clean and organized display of home information with OCR technology.
Weakness
Not fully automated, users must wait for home items to be paired with data.

Adjustments made...
After presenting demos to home inspectors and receiving feedback from users we learned that home inspectors would create homes, share reports, and be done with that home. This meant that having a history log of homes was important for the user to be able to refer to, however it was unnecessary to show on the main screen.
-
Shorten the list of most recent homes on main screen.
-
Add more valuable information to the user on this screen like Safety Reports.
